Sorry to jump in here, but, the idea caught my attention. So, you are setting 'jack' to the required jack buffer size of 64, I don't understand where are you setting the multiplier? ../Steve

I think -F is referring to the startup option for jamulus process not for "systemctl <whatever> -f " = force, meaning shutdown immediately amongst other things. You'll need to edit the you jamulus service startup file and add -F to the correct line. The line will be similar to the following with the -F option added. ../Steve</whatever> ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/Jamulus -s -n -F -e jamulus.fischvolk.de -o "yourServerName;yourCity;[country ID]"

Hi, I live in Hampshire , near Basingstoke and the AWS server is in London, ping times to the AWS server are around 8 to 10 ms, which is pretty good but it can be a little erratic at times. I'm currently trying a n IONOS (1&1) virtual server as the it provides 2 vCores with 2Gb RAM and 80Gb's of memory for an INITIAL price of £2/month. Ping times are around the 10 to 12 ms slightly slower, but initially seems more stable. ../Steve

Hi, if this is covered elsewhere please delete. After reading many positive reviews of the AWS Lightsail VPS and Jamulus I decided to have a look a the basic product which comes in at an incredibly cheap $3.50 ( £2.50 UKP or there abouts). I've paid more for lousy coffee :-) All went well following various useful guides on this forum, the problem came at Jamulus compile time. The compile process was failing random points. Reading various articles on the web it transpired that this can be caused by...

Chris, just had another thought. If your OK with a single session. You could use Jack audio + Carla and map each required input to Jamulus as required. This works well and results in a single stream (and therefore session) However, Jack can be fiddly to get running on Windows, it takes a bit of effort. Better in Linux, I use Ubuntu studio or you might want to try JamulusOS ../Steve

Chris, yes correct each instance will require its own stream to and from the server and therefore bandwidth can become an issue. That being said I haven't had much trouble with bandwidth. Running in stereo and High quality seem to be 729kb/s which means 729k in both directions. The limit in my case is the 'upload' speed, my absolute maximum is 20Mb/s which cope with two or three sessions OK.

I do something similar to this with the Soundcraft Ui24r surface-less mixer. I have found I can run multiple instances of Jamulus and map each instance to a different set IO port of theUi24r. This gives me the ability to have several sessions running at the same time and have level control over each input. I've know escaped Windows for this and use the Ui24r + Ubuntu Studio (which includes Jack& Carla) this gives me a lot of flexibility including the ability to connect any input or output of the...

Hi, Not sure this is the right place for a feature request, please bump or move if not applicable here. For various reasons I run multiple instances (3 to 4) of the Jamulus client on a single Windows based PC. I have noticed that the Jamulus loads a default profile on start up which seems to be the setting used during the last session. Running multiple instances means that each time I start an instance I have re-select the required setting for each instance, such as the input and output channel mappings,...
