Hi Stan, was a bit afk for obvious reasons ;) the freebasic-issue seems to be gone. if i am wrong, please give some more information (e.g. error messages from terminal or the like). then i will have a look, if i can help. the avrdude line should be avrdude -p m328p -c arduino -P /dev/ttyACM0 -b 19200 -U flash:w:ā%eā.hex but you should check if ttyACM0 is the proper device for the usb2serial-port. Maybe the baudrate is 57600 or 115200 with your device. lookup the arduino boards.txt to gather the appropriate...
Hi Stan, cool you want to try Great Cow Basic on linux. For a first start you could lookup the issues 127, 128 of the Full Circle Magazine. There I have written a guide how to setup Great Cow BASIC on linux and how to use Geany as the IDE. You may find a copy here: https://github.com/Anobium/Great-Cow-BASIC-Demonstration-Sources/tree/master/Publication_Solutions/Full_Circle
Thank you for the link @caroper - will first have a look at the resources - maybe some questions are asked before (like in the song 905 from the who).
That is a good advice. Didn't realize there is a forum - my bad. :( I guess that the software is a hobby project and i am not expect anyone to answer in realtime :) As far as i get to know i am around 5 hours ahead (Germany - Brazil).
Hi there, i am trying to streamline some of my projects and hence to simulate them with simulide first instead of breadboarding. For one project i would like to simulate an attiny13(a), reading an LDR and blinking a LED. The LED-Part works. Q1: For the LDR-Part i had a software serial solution on the real hardware. This won't work with simulide, wouldn't it? My first attempt to open the serial monitor led to a crash of the simulide-program. Maybe someone knows a trick. Q2: With respect to the LDR:...
Thank you for your reply. This cuts down some development time. Due to the fact that the rfid-reader is not supported by Great Cow BASIC at the moment and i don't have a clue how to program that spi-protocol i have to modify one rfid-reader a little to see if i can get it to work at the serial uart. So no project done on a weekend, though :) But your enhancements of the code are of course of interest.
Nice Project. Have a similar for a future build in mind: a gcb copy of a "tonuino" which is a mp3 player with a rfid-reader/writer where for example a kid could play it's stroy of choice by presenting a rfid tag or card. Do you mind if I use your mp3-player-code as a basis?
Had a look to that link - nice Magazine. Reminds me of some Amiga Magazines I consumed in earlier days. Odd to hear that your delivery went wrong - hopefully you get another board or a refund timely. That pickit programmer is on my extended imaginary wishlist - i have a small 8 pin PIC in the drawer which awaits some work :) just to test if my attiny13a code really works with only small modifications ;) Should also be easier to use than build one: https://diyodemag.com/projects/arduino_pic_progr...
