Apparently it's on purpose: At every well are two sources next to each other, so the player can actually make 2 wishes at once. (WellSource.java:29) Actually, if you look carefully, you'll notice 2 sparks in the well. Also, notice how you can't align yourself to the vertical center of the well. There really are 2 places. If sometimes you can only throw once, you're probably aiming for the center of the well and hitting the same half. If you deliberately throw one to the left and one to the right,...

What would be the expected behavior?

Possible duplicate of [#5579], [#5580]. The issue pops up every once in a while, then goes away, and I could never reproduce it locally.
