Thank you for the prompt response. I know you do not use Astroberry but by any chance, my serial connection when using INDI is labeled as "1a86". I have an OnStep and it connects with "/dev/ttyUSB0". Do you think this is an issue with the serial port? I have soldered two boards already. Used both TMC2225 and TMC2209. I have also used to different Nanos and the problem persists. Is there a suggestion to fix this?

Hi all, I've built two systems already. The first one is a Nano + TMC2225 and the other is a 2209. I've tried both firmware version 312 and 312-1. I think that the code for both Trinamic builds are incomplete since it is a derivative of the DRV8825 code. This leads me to believe that it is not up to speed with the INDI driver as of yet. I can make it run using the Windows ASCOM app with varying success but it just won't run with Ekos/Astroberry. I've read a lot of the forum discussions here and read...

Hey Ryan, I'm also looking for the same thing. Would you be willing to share the Gerber files for this?

I've built an MFP2 board with the TMC22xx PCB. The thing works in the provided MFP2 Windows application. The motor moves. But when I connect it to Astroberry, it doesn't. Astroberry recognizes that an MFP2 device is there. And coil power works, so it's sending power to the motor. But when I try to move the focuser via Ekos it says it has moved but the focuser hasn't moved. 2022-05-15T01:45:02: [INFO] Focuser reached requested position. 2022-05-15T01:45:01: [INFO] Focuser is moving to position 500...

Happens to mine too. TMC2225. I already soldered 2 boards and used 2 Nanos. The problem is still there. Jogging doesn't work whatever I do. Otherwise, everything works as it should.

I see, thank you for the information Mr. Brown. I would eventually replace the motor then. But for now I'll see what I can do with the materials I have. I really appreciate the all the help. :) Regards, Samuel

Thank you very much for the response Robert. In my case what could be the solution? Should I step down to f/4-f/5? Should I increase or eliminate microstepping? Change to a 400 step NEMA 17? Increase or decrease gear reduction? And also, it is unclear to me still how, if possible, do I use the numbers above and make sense of it to plug it into the MFP2 system. The PDFs have clear instructions and examples on setting up telescopes but only a brief and very narrow section on lenses. Regards, Samue...

Hi all. First of all, thank you for the fantastic project that this is and I am absolutely grateful to Mr. Brown. My project is based on the TMC22xx + Nano PCB. I have the focuser moving, and I find that the needed claculations for adjusting related to the Trinamic drivers easy to follow. I digress. The motor is a Wantai Stepper Motor NEMA 17 with 200 steps. The lens is a Nikkor 180 ED @ f/2.8. I have 3D printed a sleeve pulley to fit the helical focuser grips that turns the entire thing into a 132T...
