ERROR: Neton-Rafson failed to converge the dynamic powerflow, sticking at same iteration. But this does not happen when the rated_power of the solar is equal to 100 kW and the simulation works well. How to solve this problem? (or this restriction is ignored by gridlab-d) Thanks. -aro

    Hello, GridLAB-D team I have a microgrid that goes to the islanding mode and a diesel generator should supply microgrid. the microgrid load size is: 640 + 460j = 868VA. And the Diesel_DG specifications are as follows: object diesel_dg { parent node_151; name Gen_151; Rated_V 4160; Rated_VA 1800000; TotalRealPow 1500000; // 640 × 2≈1500 // pf 1; flags DELTAMODE; Gen_type DYN_SYNCHRONOUS; rotor_speed_convergence $ {rotor_convergence}; Exciter_type SEXS; Governor_type GGOV1; object recorder { property...

Hello dear Frank Thank you very much, you have read my question carefully and your advice was very good and complete. After your guidance, I worked on the following network in deltamode (Figure 1). I put two switches (swBUS_2to_1) and (swBUS_2to_load) in the system. (BUS_1= bustype SWING) and (BUS_2= bustype SWING). In t=8, I opened two switches and the load was only supplied by the first generator (Diesel_dg1). As you said, the bus_1 acts like a PQ bus and that node does not remains as a SWING node...

Hello dear Jason Fuller At first, thank you for your quick response. And can you send an example (.glm file) that the local network is separated from the main network and supplied by the DGs (islanding mode)? thanks a lot. -Aro

Hello GRIDLAB-D Team I'm having trouble with islanding the system in gridlab-d, I found (test_multi_island.glm), but Actually in this example, I did not understand the concept of islanding. In this example(test_multi_island.glm), I want to use diesel_dg to supply load4C(Figure 1) , but when switch2B_2C is open (manual_outages "switch2B_2C,2000-01-01 00:00:04,2000-01-01 00:00:35";) the output of diesel_dg is zero and can not feed the load4C, why !!? I want to feed the load4C by diesel_dg in islanding...
