Hi Ricky, once again thanks. Sometimes one's just thinking too much, hence creating homemade problems. All up n running now with user:root (default) and my own password. Easy peasy eventually, haha

looks like a lot of action. if l read all other questions here l'd rather go for a non-free version and all works immediately. Can't really afford this waste of time.

Hello there, l'm looking for RickyO, since he's obviously the man withe plan. l'm just configuring unicentaopos and on the database section l stuck. For the URL the system asks for complete mysql database connection string. Here l need your help what to type in. An example would be appreciated. Thanks ever so much, Arne
