Ok, the path for JAVA was wrong .... Well thanks. We should have a more detailed debug log in Help->Check LanguageTool in my opinion
Where exactly? The autostart feature of TexStudio for LanguageTool does not work. That is, if LanguageTool is not already started, TXS will not start it. Woudln't it be simpler to put that in Help -> Check LanguageTool? For the time being I made a batch file that starts LanguageTool and then TXS :)

Sorry Troy didn't see your last message. By autostart I mean the feature by which TXS starts LanguageTool if it is not already started. I can't get it to work
