Hi, As for Geany, its standard context menu has only %s wildcard to supply for e_menu. Though, I overcome this restriction with some modifications described here: https://wiki.tcl-lang.org/page/mulster%2C+multi-line+replacements+in+text These changes allow to have the following Geany context menu command: wish ~/SOMEDIR/e_menu/e_menu.tcl md=~/SOMEDIR/e_menu/menus m=menu.mnu "f=%d/%f" "F=%f" "d=%d" PD=~/SOMEDIR/e_menu_PD.txt "s0=%f" "s1=%d" s=%s ed=geany z1=~/.tke/e_menu/e_menu "z2=%f" z5=~ i.e. f=...

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #108

Indeed, the include directory can spawn the following issues: 1) export/import of shared code can be tricky and error-prone 2) at modifications of a shared code by one application, there might occur incompatibility with other applications 3) so, we should have the versioning for shared modules; e.g. we would have mymodule.1.1.tcl, mymodule.1.2.tcl etc. which reduces the value of sharing 4) the sandboxing may prohibit the access to the include directory which is also reducing this thing's value. Though,...

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #108

"Save here" might be shortcutted by drag-n-dropping the buffer's title to a sidebar directory. "Apply command" might have a checkbox option "Recursively". For backuping/restoring it would be nice to consider ~/.tke first of all. Command launcher might be enhanced with PageDown/PageUp navigation. Default syntax of Untitled can be otherwise set by choosing a template that is also can be cosidered as default for Ctrl/N hotkeys. I.e. we might have a radio option "Make New File from" - " Last Choosed...

    Road map for TKE 3.7?

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #105

Unfortunately, this works only at 1st start. 2nd reveals the issue. I tested this on the fully initialized ~/.tke. The video shows Debian session. Windows' behaves the same. Can it be related to the fact I run TKE from a clone directory (not from a directory made by install.tcl)? Somewhat strange if it is.

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #105

I remove all sessions and still get the same. On the video.

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #107

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #106

Indeed, when TKE isn't working, the passing it a directory works fine. However, while working, TKE gets the passed directory OK, shows it in the sidebar OK, but fails to select it in the sidebar :( FAILED

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #105

On the video. The working directory is seen everywhere. Except for the title, donner wetter at all!

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #105

No. Still no switching of TKE's title. It shows a current directory from where TKE was called. Always the same directory. I created a session from scratch, nothing changed. Though, "File/Open File" ("Save as" too) sets a current tab's directory properly. TKE sees all, not wanting to admit it.

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #106

"File/Open Directory" "File/Open Recent" -> "Recent Directories". - both work fine. "wish tke.tcl DIRNAME" - still the same (puts DIRNAME in the sidebar and does not select it). It's a pity.

  • Alex Plotnikov Alex Plotnikov posted a comment on ticket #93

Well, I've managed to overcome this only with manual clearing all "Editor/Snippet" entries of ~/.tke/sessions files. Might we fix this and similar issues some other way, for example such as: after/before closing/opening Preferences window, some curing code would start to check such problems and ask about curing them if any after starting TKE with "-check" argument, the checking and (after confirmation e.g.) curing procedure is started before any enacting the ~/.tke data Probably, you MUST have some...

The confirmation options work OK, but only after restarting TKE. Can they work immediately after closing 'Preferences' as other options do (or not)? As for reproducing the "trashing instead deleting" issue, I should look at it closer other day. Now it's reproduced seemingly in my Debian 9.5 only.

Some Linux file managers behave just so (silent removing to Trash), I mentioned this also! And it is no good behavior. I cannot even find in my favorite caja manager the preference option to change this. Alas. The dolphin has this option. OK, it works. But, to close the ticket: can you warn them poor users about removing files/dirs to Trash? Yes, Trash allows restoring files, but (main sense of it) the warning would protect us from a casual removings. Imagine a directory containing, say, 50-70-100... files (tke/lib e.g.) where you called the popup and choosed casually "Move to trash". You think so: well, I've done something that I hadn't intended, but what was it? Should I go to Trash for this? What file/dir(s) should I seek there...

Would you consider another two related issues? Both are visible in the above video. If I set Space for snippeting and type e.g. "if " in Tcl comments which is not unusual, I would get the snippet in the comments which is not wanted. The comments are mostly a free text, not formalized/snippeted. Though a special snippet/template for comments may be useful - outside of comments - according to the fantasy of coders. Not so much of issue, rather of convenience. If e.g. I type "switch" snippet, I would...

No, no! Let them linguists translate all of TKE and even outside it :)) e.g. plugins' messages which is a separate theme btw. Leave please the door open: if one wants to translate e.g. "None" to "Kein"/"Net"/"Нет" - let do it. Shortly I propose: 1) all that can be translated by humans let them translate it, at any possibility 2) let the new messages of .msg be auto-generated 3) if the auto-generation fails in finding a translated string, let it results in English origin
