I've just started using this and I've found it really useful. What would be really nice is the ability to Autotype the output which would replace the need to set up multiple Autotype sequences for each site as PICKFIELD & PICKCHARS don't talk to each other - any chance of adding it as an option?
That’s the approach I ended up taking. Its a shame that the two functions don't talk to each other as it would make for a powerful combination - a future Keepass enhancement perhaps? I've just started looking at the Pickcharsplus plugin which does combine the field selection and pick character steps but unfortunately doesn't support Autotype - the end result has to be manually typed in. However it does automate the "difficult" bits of the task and though its early days, I already think this may be...
I would be interested to know if there is a better way to handle the following: Financial sites often ask for x characters to be entered from the answer to one of several possible security questions ie 3 chars from memorable word or from memorable date or from etc. etc. My current solution is to have a separate Autotype sequence using PICKCHARS for each potential question but I wondered if there was a more generic way of doing it? ideally a single autotype sequence that can handle multiple questions...
Thank you - just what I was looking for.
Hi, tx for this. Unfortunately though it has a select field, its not quite what I had in mind and I'm afraid I don't have the coding skills to adapt your code. Attached (hopefully) is the image from the Placeholders help page that gives an idea of the type of test page I was looking for - several single character fields, each one to be populated from a drop down 0-9,A-Z list (rather than just digits implied by the attached image)

This may have been requested before, but could the test form be updated to include some additional fields where the use of PICKCHARS could be tested particularly when using the Conv option - perhaps something similar to the screen shown in the usage example in the Placeholders help text? I'd like to use Keepass on a finance site which only allows 3 attempts before locking the account so it would be nice to practice before before trying it for real.
