Thank you Paul, I had missed the backup wiki link, I will review it so I know more about it. Jean

Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back about Paul's comment above as I have a couple more questions. I can always transfer by USB cord rather than emailing it, if I don't have an SD card slot on my laptop. Will everything transfer including the master password just with the KDBX file? What is the box next to the words Password and Key File for (it can be checked)? So I think what you are saying is don't bother to open the KeePassX before moving a copy to my phone as it should have everything...

Thank you Paul, I was going to make it much stronger than it is but I won't now. I do not know whether my lap top has a slot for an SD card, it would be great if it does as I could then put the data base directly on it as you suggested. Am I correct though in logging into the data base with my present password, check the "key pass" box under it and then while it is open moving a copy of the letmein.kdbx icon which is in my document folder onto the SD card? I do have a friend that should know if it...

I have a few more questions about copying my letmein.kdbx data base from my Linux computer to my Nokia 3.1 Plus Android. I have found where I can change the master password which I intend to do. There is a check box when the database is launched which is just under where you put the password to open it, I take it this needs to be checked after placing in the master password in and then open the database? This then would be the time to transfer the letmein.kdbx icon, with it open, that is in my documents...

I only have one database called letmein.kdbx (it is also the only one I have that I make changes in) and it is the correct one that opens the one in my documents folder which is on my laptop (which is the Linux database) because I have had to use it several times a while back to open it. I am trying to transfer that database into the KeePass2Android so it is as up to date as possible. I currently use a Lumia phone with Windows 10 and am transitioning to the Nokia 3.1 Plus as Microsoft will no longer...

Thank you for your replies. I do have a few more questions or clarifications. Do I need to leave that unsecure .csv file that is now on my Nokia 3.1 Plus until I have the proper database installed and working, or can I delete before? I have already deleted any copies of it in my email sent folder and desktop (it didn't show up in my inbox and had to be accessed through my sent folder so hoping because of this that it has not been disipated out into cyberspace compromising my identity as it was a...

Thank you for your help. It was the KeePass2Android that was downloaded onto my Nokia 3.1 Plus phone. Having those instructions I have a friend who can walk me through when it comes time to transfer it. How do I go about deleting the corrupt one from my Nokia before attempting to do the transfer of the correct one?

Hello, I have KeePassX on my Linux Ubuntu on my laptop and have used it for years. It was placed on my Lumia Windows 10 phone as WinPass. I am now trying to transition to a Nokia 3.1 Plus and need to know how to transfer a copy of KeePassX (or WinPass) onto my new phone? I have added the application KeePass2 to the Nokia 3.1 Plus as it seemed to be the only one that matched. I went to KeePassX and found where I could export it as a .csv file and was told the best way to get it to the Nokia was to...
