Hi Everybody, I've seen that a few people have downloaded v26b-beta and I've heard no complaints. FYI: I just made it the default version for folks who click the "Download" button. I strongly suspect that the quality is better than beta. Have fun and 73, Andy KB1OIQ ..

I did see many articles on the web about similar issues, but none of the fixes worked for me. Interestingly, I wiped and re-installed Mint just in case that was the issue, on the old installation the force-reload would crash cinnamon. On this fresh install, it has worked as it should. So thats a plus for now....
On-board sound not available after install
The dummy output problem seems to be very common as of late, based on the number of posts I've seen about it on the internet. I cannot fathom anything that I've done in the AHRL installation that would have caused this EXCEPT: at the start of the installation, it does: apt update apt upgrade Something changed in there that is causing the dummy output problem. Temporary(?) workaround: at a terminal, type this command EXACTLY ONCE after each reboot: sudo alsa force-reload That has worked for others...
Hi Everybody, I'm seeing A LOT of articles on the internet about this seemingly common problem. I'd swear it didn't do this when I released v26a. Maybe some update did it, I'm not sure. I'll continue to investigate. In the mean time, try typing this command as a workaround: sudo alsa force-reload Pete: Please let me know your result. Thanks, and 73, Andy KB1OIQ
I'm also seeing this in Xubuntu 24.04 .......
Hi Pete, I see it ... let me investigate. Thanks, and 73, Andy KB1OIQ
