Jan, Compiling is not really a problem, actually could be easier than converting from rpm to deb Nevertheles, I think than SAGA devs should contact the debian-gis team and inquire why they keep such an ancient SAGA version. But, in practice, assuming I have 4 windows as 4 independent tabs, can I organize them as a 2x2 mosaic? If yes, how? I've tried with Split left, right, bottom etc and cannot get to it- Thanks On Mon, Oct 8, 2018 at 1:47 PM Volker Wichmann reklov_w@users.sourceforge.net wrote: Hi, this (again) is not supported by the underlying GUI toolkit. SAGA uses a MDI which is only fully supported on MSW, but not on linux and mac. It is already a very nice feature to be able to split the view. For details see:...

I understand coordinates displayed in the Properties menu of the 3D view are relative to the center of the scene that is displayed in 2D. I would be interested on getting the actual coordinates in the CRS of the map/image. Is there a way to get the exact coordinates of the current center of the displayed 2D scene? For a newer version, could you consider providing the viewing coordinates in the CRS of the map as well? Also, I think that, despite the wxwidgets difficulties that Volker mentioned, the...

How can I tile 4 images as 2x2 in the linux version? I've tried with split but do not get to it, I end up with things such as 1 image on the left, 2 images on the up right and another image at the right bottom. Is this explained somewhere? it seems all the doc is for the win version. Agus -- Agustin Lobo aloboaleu@gmail.com

Thank you both. (@VolkerT: here are holes were there are real no data, that is no Z info for those patches. Then there is the sea, which I've set to no data as well in the geotif.) Increasing Resolution from 100 to 1000 keeps makes a 3D nadir version visually identical to the 2D. Also, the windows versions let you see the parameters of the viewing geometry at the bottom of the window, which I do not see in the linux version. Is this as it is or are there by-default parameters that I could tune? On...

I have a DEM of an island with a horseshoe shape, sea as No Data and few holes of real no data as no data as well. The problem is that it looks like if the No Data would propagate in the 3D view. The snapshot compares the 2D view and a nadir-looking 3D for comparison: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8gk5jvitq3x85l/Screenshot%20at%202018-10-05%2011-12-54.png?dl=0 This becomes a big problem with an oblique view Any fix besides setting No Data areas to an arbitrary value? I've compiled saga-6.4.0 on Debian testing (buster). Just 2 notes: 1. The dev version of libwxgtk3.0 must also be installed, otherwise ./configure complains there is no wx-config 2. If I do ./configure --enable python, I get the following error at make: g++: error: ./saga_api_wrap.cxx: No such file or directory Makefile:769: recipe for target '_saga_api_la-saga_api_wrap.lo' failed make[4]: [_saga_api_la-saga_api_wrap.lo] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory '/home/alobo/saga-6.4.0/src/saga_core/saga_api'...
