I don't know that I've actually used it on anything later than 2016, but, IIRC, it does work there. I don't know that there've been any substantial changes to the TDS protocol with more recent versions of SQL Server, but I'm not up on the details of that any more. I think most people use Microsoft's own JDBC driver nowadays. That's what we use in production at my day job. I still use jTDS 1.3 with my own side business, but much of that is with older versions of SQL Server. I'm not sure there's terribly...

Hi David, There's probably a lot of places in jTDS that could be optimized in this way or others that were not possible when it was first written (such as automatic boxing/unboxing of primitive types). Definitely go for it--and if you can figure out how to share your patch, great. Unfortunately, the project is pretty much static at this point; the date on the last download is from mid-2013. I still use jTDS with some of my side projects because I can use the same driver for both SQL Server and Sybase...

Note that the latest file versions are from June of 2013. Many of the features in MS's JDBC driver have never been implemented (or not rolled into the project--such as Bulk Loading, which you should find a mention of in the discussions somewhere--it's been done by a jTDS user, but never incorporated into the jTDS project). My guess (I'm not familiar...

And many of the features in MS's JDBC driver have never been implemented. My guess (I'm not familiar with the MultiSubnetFailover feature), if you need the MultiSubnetFailover option, your simplest option is to use MS's driver--I'd definitely go for sqljdbc42.jar (or later).

Definitely would be worth making this available--as you're not getting any response,...
