    Thanks, yes I do not have any debugger. The extension is .COB. I can open the objects on a PC with a HEX editor and can see ASCII text all over, probably the various screens for the program. This can clearly be seen at offset 0xDE on the compiled objects: RM/COBOL 6.61.00i80386/i80486 I would have to dig up the compiler (a single 3 1/4 disk) to see what other tools came with it. As I recalled the objects were built on SCO Unix (pre open sever) and then copied over (decades later) to a Centos 6 computer....

    I got a few objects whose source code can not be found. I know they are compiled with RM/COBOL and run using a runtime environment on either SCO Unix or various Linux distros, sort of like the java virtual machine. I have seen reversing services for mainframe COBOL programs , but have yet to read anything about this particular compiler RM 6.61. Does anyone know if such services or a product exists? Kind Regards

    Thanks, I have no SELinux on Slackware64. Actually /var/spool/hylafax/bin/ is a symbolic link: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 38 Jul 30 18:08 faxrcvd.php -> /var/www/avantfax/includes/faxrcvd.php and the file is owned by uucp -rwxr-xr-x 1 uucp uucp 10804 Aug 9 14:04 /var/www/avantfax/includes/faxrcvd.php Yes I feel like it might be the OS. I basically reading and looking for a way to debug or trace this. Here is a snip from the /var/log/messages: Aug 10 00:06:25 FAXSERVER FaxGetty[2040]: STATE CHANGE: RUNNING...

    I am running on Slackware 64 Current. I compiled HylaFAX+ 7.02. I actually had to use kernel 5.6.12 because for some reason the kernels in 5.4.5x series that I tried did some strange things with the pair of Multitech MT5634ZPX - PCI modems I am using. Minicom would not display ATI3 or ATZ unless I would exit and re-run minicom a second time and upon entering I would be greeted with all the additional modem responses. Eitherway I saw that modems worked fine with minicom using a current version of...

    I got the web front end to load. I basically followed the BASH instructions on: https://getcomposer.org/download/ " php -r "copy('https://getcomposer.org/installer', 'composer-setup.php');" php -r "if (hash_file('sha384', 'composer-setup.php') === 'e5325b19b381bfd88ce90a5ddb7823406b2a38cff6bb704b0acc289a09c8128d4a8ce2bbafcd1fcbdc38666422fe2806') { echo 'Installer verified'; } else { echo 'Installer corrupt'; unlink('composer-setup.php'); } echo PHP_EOL;" php composer-setup.php php -r "unlink('composer-setup.php');"...

    I am installing on a test box running Slackware64-Current. I am getting pretty far along using the github repo from Simone. I noticed the new requirments on the INSTALL.TXT but I am trying to see about this dependency: "vendor/autoload.php" It's not included in anything I have downloaded yet.

    I have been trying to see if I can get it working with php7 as well. It looks like one can change it to use the MDB2 Beta that uses mysqli driver, but other files I think including the smarty libraries have to change. I have not made much progress myself as I am not a php developer. Just looking to see what I can change in the code to get it working. -Adan
