    Perhaps Because your passphrase could also be dumped? Just a guess. I can’t resolve your issue, but for defragmenting, you might want to try the piriform defragger. I found it much more efficient than the built-in Windows defray program.     I don't see any reason why you couldn't use a program like Eraser to secure delete the files. It's free. Also, if you're on a Mac, there are various secure delete patterns available via the Terminal Window.     I'm not finding any drive related errors in the event viewer except a single error showing that Drive D didn't load. No repeated attempts to load it. The next entry is less than a second later. Thank you for trying.

    These problems all occurred at the same time, when I booted up Thursday night. POST seems to take forever. I cannot seem to get into the BIOS to check settings. My system drive (C drive) is encrypted, once the password is accepted (this seems to take the usual amout of time) the computer normally takes about 20 seconds to boot. I just timed the boot process after the PW is accepted, it's currectly taking 2 minutes 30 seconds to boot. Also, my D Drive, an unencrypted drive, is completely mising from...
