Selected multiple and then selected 'edit task' from the task menu. The edit window opens but 'subject' field shows the subject of a single task, and any edits only affect the task shown.

    Hi,

This works for me on Windows with release 1.2.2. Can you attach a sample task file that shows the problem?

    Thanks, Frank

Created simple list of 3 tasks with same problem. I uploaded the test file. Works fine with 1.2.1. Could it be my platform? 64-bit Windows 7.
By the way, TaskCoach is great!

    Hi,

I opened your file, selected the three tasks and clicked the edit button on the toolbar. Task Coach opened the edit dialog for editing all three tasks. See screenshot. Can you make a screenshot of what you see when you do that?

    Thanks, Frank

I uploaded a screen shot of attempt to edit multiple tasks. It is strange that 1.2.1 works perfectly. Thanks!

To better investigate the bug you reported we'd like you to attach the file 'TaskCoach.ini' to this bug report.

If you're on Windows, the TaskCoach.ini file is located in the Application Data folder of Task Coach. This is usually
    'C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\TaskCoach'.

If you're on Linux, the TaskCoach.ini file is located in the .TaskCoach subdirectory of your home directory. So this would usually be '/home/<your username="">/.TaskCoach'.

If you're on Mac OS X, the TaskCoach.ini file is located in the .TaskCoach subdirectory of your home directory. So this would usually be '/home/<your username="">/.TaskCoach'.

The TaskCoach.ini file only contains settings, no personal data. Feel free to check though; it is a text file that you can view with any text editor such as for example Notepad.

    Thanks, Task Coach development team

Can you try it again after removing your TaskCoach.ini file (please make a copy of it)? If that helps, please attach your TaskCoach.ini file here.

    Thanks, Frank

I removed the old .ini, but still had the same problem. I've uploaded the new .ini that was created in case it is of any use. Also, I see you have released 1.2.3. I will try that rev to see if the problme still exists.

How are you selecting the tasks? Ctrl-A? I can reproduce the issue, but only when I use Ctrl-A to select the tasks. If I use Shift-click or Ctrl-click to select items the mass editing works as expected. Can you confirm this?

    Thanks, Frank

A fix was made and checked into the source code repository of Task Coach. The fix will be part of the next release. You will get another notification when that release is available with the request to install the new release and confirm that your issue has indeed been fixed.

If you like, you can download a recent build from http://www.fraca7.net/TaskCoach-packages/latest_bugfixes.py to test the fix.

Because a fix has been made for this bug report, the priority of this report has been lowered to 1 and its resolution has been set to 'Fixed'.

    Thanks, Task Coach development team

Yes! Ctl-A or Edit->Select->All from menu had the problem, but Shift-click and Ctl-click work for me on 1.2.2. I tried the latest bugfix, and it works fine for all cases. Thanks!
