What exactly does not work for you?

I successfully made visible hidden exits with both rods and
scrolls (at various levels), both on my local server and on
mf. Invisible players wearing a God Finger did also show up,
both with rods and scrolls of show invisible.

did not respond within 30 days (the time period specified by

I'm having this same problem, on red island trying to find
the invisible key (it goes "clank" but reading a scroll of
show invisible doesn't show anything)

I to am still experiencing the problem on metalforge.
I have gotten to where I don't even try to use rods
or scrolls of show invisible any more. It is very
frustrating that one person says "it works for me"
and then the bug is closed. I am going to attempt to
reopen this for further exploration.

If a developer wants to watch me try to use a rod of
show invisible on metalforge just tell me in IRC on
freenode.net. We can set up a time.

From what I can gather, rods/scrolls actually work, but
there is an issue with the level.

Level used is that of the "use magic item" for eg a scroll,
which is of course not great :)

Not sure of the fix, though.

Committed a fix to SVN. The code was using wrong levels to check whether item should be shown or not.

Now, the probability to show hidden item is (casting level-1) on (object's level).

Lowering priority, and waiting for fix confirmation :)
