No

In any application with key event handling fail to work in all modes except English/Keyboard

You can try to test using Google Suggestion.

This problem also appears in any application. (I have tried most web application and java desktop application)

Could you give me your environment?

    What OS do you use?
    How did you get SCIM?
What SCIM package do you have now?

I cannot tell you anything without detailed information.
And please give me your test case. (Step by step instruction, expected result, and actual result)

    And, what is Google Suggestion?
Does it have something to do with SCIM?

    Hi,

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) with the bundled scim (1.4.7) install with it. Firefox 3.0.6

You can re-produce the problem by visiting the google search home page http://www.google.com
In the search box, when you type something, it will show up the drop down list containing words that match the one you type in and the list will change when you continue to type in.

But it doesn't work unless I turn off SCIM (Using English/Keyboard)

Also, I tried to test on Ubuntu 7.10 with Firefox 2 it still doesn't work.

    No enough information.
Please give me step by step procedure to reproduce your problem.
And what IMEngines have you tried?

It doesn't work even after you commit words?
The preedit texts are basically invisible from applications.

As ryo-dairiki said, the preedit texts are not visible to the apps. Once past that stage. google auto-completion works for me. Since no further information was given there isn't much we can do. Closing as invalid, but please feel free to reopen with more information.
