No keyboard is accepted after selecting multiple files
in a "File Open" dialog box in both GTK and QT apps.
This only seems to be a problem when using the SCIM via
the XIM interface.

Steps to reproduce the problem.

1. Make sure the scim daemon is running.
2. Run gedit as follows:

XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM GTK_IM_MODULE=xim gedit

3. Choose File/Open menu.
4. Select multiple files to open while holding down the
control key (also a problem when using the shift key).
5. Click on the Open button.

The selected files will be opened in gedit but you will
not be able to type. If I "killall scim-launcher" then
typing is renabled in the gedit windows.

A similar thing happens with kwrite on Ubuntu 6.06,
however you need to be holding down the CTRL key when
you click on the Open button in the "Open File" dialog box.

I have confirmed this to be a problem in Ubuntu 6.06,
Fedora Core 5, and SuSE 10.1. I am running under an
en_US.UTF-8 locale with scim 1.4.4.

Also note that not all my installations exhibit this
problem. I have two instances of Ubuntu 6.06. The one
on the laptop exhibits the problem, however the one
runng under VMware does not. Fedora Core 5 is running
in VMWare and it does exhibit the problem.

Some more information...this only occurs on machines where
/FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic is set to false in ~/.scim/config. I
am not sure why this was set to false on some of my machines
and true on others. I see nothing in the SCIM settings that
would correspond to this entry in the config file.

It seems that it's a gtk bug rather than SCIM. Could you
please report this issue to gtk bugzilla?

A patch against libX11 for this has been posted upstream by Soeren Sandmann.
