SKIM is supposed to be started when launching KDE.

Actually, it is launched, but I can use SKIM only in
applications that are launched through the console. (my
shell is zsh)

It is impossible to activate skim in other applications
that are autolaunched when KDE starts or that are
launched through KDE menu.

As startkde is a script in bash, I have put all my
environment variable in .bashrc, but the problem still
remains.

Sincerely,
xo

.bashrc is only executed when you open a konsole

try to export (I do not know what's the corresponding
command name under zsh) all the necessary environment
    variables before you startx
or make sure, the environment variables are set correctly
in startx, before startkde is invoked
