Old data in display while new data in file

During a meeting I added some todos and a journal.
After the meeting I closed the clamshell Zaurus (so
it switched off), then, some minutes later, reopened
it for the next meeting.

KO/PI did not display all the new entries!

Closing KO/PI and reopening it did not help (KO/PI is
set to "fast load" on my Zaurus).

Closing KO/PI, removing the "fast load" feature to be
sure the data files are cleanly closed, looking into
the data files (mycalendar.ics and a journal.ics
file), all new data was there!

Restarting KO/PI, and voila, all new entries were
shown again.
