Hi!

The coLinux installation crashes Windows Vista Beta 2,
this is probably cause of the TAP-Win32 driver
installation (have removed all the other components
during install)

Please don't submit bugs against an as of yet released OS,
if you do, then, please submit patches along with the bug
reports, but don't expect coLinux project to official
support an as of yet released product.

I think Tiru's report is very well valid. this is an
opportunity for the developers to see why colinux is
crashing Vista. Most probably the solution would be
relatively easy for them to find.

I am currently testing Vista and want to run my Ubuntu
inside Vista using Colinux, but doesn't seem to be possible
    because of this bug.

People lik eus complaining about his problem will increase
    day by day.

    Best regards,

We really don't have the resources to support yet another
OS. Especially one that could change between now and when
we fix the bug. At any rate... Using SLiRP (and therefore
avoiding any issues with PCAP or TAP) I'm able to boot
    coLinux in Vista...
    http://firechief.dyndns.org/colinux/Vista-coLinux.JPG is a
screen shot of it... I had to disable Vista's Software DEP
(must be new to Vista as I've never had that problem on XP
on the same box), so be sure to disable DEP either Hardware
or Software DEP, it could very well be your problem.
