Using FC10, Muse 1.0 RC3 or 0.9-2-FC9, installed from RPM or compiled from source give me the same results. That is the red line indicating the current position cannot be moved unless the song is playing. Neither clicking at the top or using the cursor buttons moves the current location unless the song is playing. This makes editing very tedious and much longer. Copying a segment used to automatically move the current position to the end of that segment. This no longer works either.

I have now experienced this bug on two different systems both using FC10. I never experienced this with FC8 or FC9.

    Hi,
    is this with jackdmp?
There was a recent fix (june 16) to jackdmp that hopefully fixes this. Jackd should also be ok.

Right, any possibility of trying old jackd ?
I believe there is no release containing the fixed jackdmp version yet.
Or you could use jackdmp from svn.
    Get it with:
    svn co http://subversion.jackaudio.org/jack/jack2/trunk/jackmp

Just installed/updated from SVN. Now running jackdmp 1.9.3
    Sorry. Same result.

What "old" version should I go to?

Ok. Though 1.9.3 (svn) should have fixed it... An extremely similar issue came up sometime ago which resulted in a fix in jackdmp (The jack archive seem not to be public so I can't link to the discussion...)

Still... if possible please try jack 1.1.6... though I'm not sure how easy it is to install on FC10, it may interfere with jackdmp

This was reported by several users including me.
It was fixed in Jack-2 1.9.3 SVN around mid-June.
Tested, works Ok for me since that time.
Unless the Jack team changed something which broke it again.
I will grab the latest version and try again and report back...

OK, tested with today's (July 6 09) Jack-2 SVN version.
No trouble found. Cursor, and FF/REW buttons work OK.
Are you sure you are using the SVN developer repository,
and not the SVN 'snapshot' tarball?

You are right. My problem was that installing jack from source puts the lib files in /usr/local/lib
However, installing from RPM put them in /usr/lib and that's where all the software was looking for the libraries.

So even if I'd installed jack from source, since I had not properly removed jack-audio-connection-kit-sources, the system was still using libjack.so.0 from version 1.9.2 which caused the bug to remain.

I properly uninstalled the RPM and properly linked the libraries and everything is now working as it should!

Thank-you very very much for you precious help.
