View a large image file (over 2 mega bytes) will cause an 'out of memory exception'.
User clicks a large xena inmage file. It will open with default NAA Package View.
Then user selects Raw XML View and XML Tree View. Out of memory error occurs. And the system will not display both views, although the image is still in display.
User changes it back to NAA Package View. The image will disappear.
I have tried some image files between 1 to 3 mega bytes. It seems the file size over 2 meg will cause the error.
Please see screen dump attached. Due to the size limit of upload, there is only cmd.exe uploaded. I have more screen dumps in my H drive.

1) normalised a 4.9Mb JPEG and it displayed without error.
2) normalised a small TIFF and it was identified as "JPEG" but normalised and displayed correctly.
3) crazed with power, I attempted to normalise an 11.3Mb TIFF.
This was correctly identified, but the normalisation failed with:
Normalisation failed for file:/D:/ssc2006-10b.tif: au.gov.naa.digipres.xena.kernel.XenaException: javax.media.jai.util.ImagingException: All factories fail for the operation "encode"

This is a very old bug report. Is it still an issue?
Please test to see if this remains an issue.
Tested in Xena Testing Branch (Date: Tue Aug 2 16:48:42 2011 +1000)
Started Xena with no Java heap space declaration.
Successfully normalised a 36 MB file.
Can view default package view, raw XML and XML tree-view.
