When you invoke the 'Create glossary entry' window, regardless of the text you selected before hitting CTRL+SHIFT+G, the focus is not in the first input field, so 1 additional tab is needed to be able to write in the 'Source target' text box.
Not sure if this qualifies as a bug or feature request. Of course, feel free to move it where it belongs.

Kind regards

Marco

Since you select first the phrase you need to put in Source, it goes into Source (so no need to tab for that), and then the focus is (logically) in the second field.

You can then either type the target term, or select another phrase, and hit Ctrl+Shift+G again, etc.

So this is definitely not a bug.

I do not see either what this report is requesting exactly.

On Win XP Pro SP2, using OmT 2.3.0, the behaviour is as was reported by Marco -- neither the source nor the target field (of the glossary addition dialog) has focus. One has to press Tab to get the cursor into the source field, and then Tab again to get the cursor into the target field. This happens whether a term was selected in the Edit pane or not. Personally I think the focus should be on the source field, but what you (Didier) say is also true, so perhaps the focus should be on the target field. At present, the focus is not on either field.

If you select a second term, then the focus doesn't need to be on the target field either but, yes, if the target field is to be entered manually, it would be better to have the focus there.

Heh-heh, until you mentioned it, it never occurred to me that I could add the target term using the same shortcut :-). In the light of this, I think it would be better if the focus is in the field that was most recently filled in. In other words:
    * if no word was selected at first, the source field should have the target
    * if the source word was selected at first, then the source field should have the target (where the word was just filled in).
    * if the user selected a target term and then presses the shortcut again, the target field should get the focus (wyhere the most recent word was just filled in).

    Grr, I meant:
    * if no word was selected at first, the source field should have the FOCUS
    * if the source word was selected at first, then the source field should
have the FOCUS (where the word was just filled in)

<<Heh-heh, until you mentioned it, it never occurred to me that I could add
the target term using the same shortcut>>

You can add the description that way too.
