#392 custom selection of search categories
Hi,
it would be great if one could select, which fields of the library should be searched, like you already implemented it with 'Title' or 'Person'. More specifically, I would like to search only within the keywords or personal notes. This would allow a more user-specific search. Searching 'any field' is in my case often to reduce the selection from 1000 to 100. Thats. however, only a limited help.
... or is that already implemented and I don't find it?

Older versions of BibDesk allowed this, but the feature was seldom used. With the full Boolean searching and wildcards we have now, coupled with groups, I see no need to add this back in. Allowing it for arbitrary fields has some performance consequences, as well.
