Expanded repeat of 1788684 as that was closed with no resolution!

Originally happened with 1.3.9, current state reflects opening file in 1.3.10

I keep all my papers into a folder, and have links to them in my local-URL field. Previously all the files listed with an Acrobat icon against them which I could double-click to open the local copy. These icons all disappeared were then shown as question-marks. The odd one has now returned to an Acrobat icon. In the preview pane, they all now appear with an Acrobat icon, but the links don't open the files.

An extract from my bib file is attached.

Possible oddities in my configuration are: using skim as my PDF viewer; coding the data as Unicode; sometimes accessing my .bib using Windows.

It appears to be a problem with consolidating files and relative paths.

My database path is ~/Documents/bib and files seem to change their name when I consolidate. i.e. test2005a becomes test2005b

The linked files in this file are all in ~/Document/Papers, not in ~/Document/bib. So therefore either the Local-Url values are wrong, or your papers folder is wrong. What do you mean when you say that the database path is ~/Documents/bib? Is this the setting in the AutoFile preferences, or just something you use externally from BibDesk? So are the files you link to in the location given in your file?

My bad. Papers are ~/Documents/Papers, bib is in ~/Documents/bib
