Problem with citekeys with '&'

in v1.2 I could highlight a reference in Safari such as,

and drop it on Bibdesk and it would be entered into the opened file.

In v1.3, when I try to drop it in, it will not let me.

I believe it has to do with the '&' in the cite key because references without the '&' can still be dropped in.
