last move+material count

Hi,
I prefer to have the board in the vertical layout style, so I
can follow the chat while playing. In this mode the move-list
is not visuable, so I would like to suggest that each players
last move + movenumber is shown in the vertical layout.

Another suggestion is to show the material count for each
side (where queen=9, rook=5, bishop/knight=3, pawn=1).
It would be helpful to get a quick evaluation without having
to count all the pieces left on the board.
I dont think this is available in either vertical or normal
board layout, but of course if implemented I would like it to
be shown in the vertical layout too.

Using Jin 2.12 on Mac OS X 10.2.8

PS, I submit a power-point file showing how it looks now on
my screen, and how I imagine that it would look with my
suggestions. The new information is shown over the white
players name and under the black players name.
