In stable releases prior to 20070828-1759, the application would automatically switch to the interactions pane when "Run" or "Run Project" were clicked. This mysteriously stopped happening with 20070828-1759 and has not been fixed in 20080106-0839. After surveying the preferences for a possible switch, I could not find one. It is rather misleading to click "Run" and think that nothing is happening.

I agree. "Compile" automatically activates the compiler output pane. Pressing the "Run" button near the top of the window now requires the user to move the mouse pointer down to the bottom of the window to activate the interactions pane. The old behavior (automatically activating the interactions pane during the "Run" command) seems preferable, but perhaps there was a good reason for the change to the current behavior? If so, adding an option in the preferences to allow the user to select the preferred behavior would be desirable.

Yes, please do bump the priority of this one up and fix it. It is very disconcerting to click run and have nothing appear to happen (particularly if you are a beginner). It is easy to conclude that something is wrong with the program - rather than that the user interface is behaving badly, which is what is actually happening.
If I compile and run "hello world", I ought to see "hello world" in a console window without having to do anything further. Please fix.
