#214 Mnet from a path that includes a space

No

I originally put the Mnet dir on a volume called "Extra Crap". That space seems to confuse the findmnetdir() function. Replacing the space with an _ fixed the problem.

I would consider that a OSX thingie.

Using offensive path names is dicouraged anyway.

    Vote for ignoring that.

James: thanks for the bug report. I'm working on a fix, but
this fix will not go into v0.6.1-STABLE release. (Which is
    already released.)

This doesn't necessarily apply to the new start scripts in
    _new, but it might.

also happens with _new on linux, at least the patch-crypto++
    fails.

I care about this a bit more now that I've noticed that
tarballs automatically unpack to "namenamename Folder" when
    you download them in Safari.

Assigning to me and incrementing priority, but not moving
    into the "v0.6.2" group...

Nor can you build Mnet from a path with a space in it.
Therefore the current instructions for how to build Mnet on
Mac OS X don't quite work.

    How can we fix this?

I wonder if the tarball had a single directory if
Safari/decompressor-thingie would *still* put it in a new
    directory named "Mnettarballname Folder"?

Assigning to Artimage. Possible ways to deal with this:

    1. Make it work with spaces. I've looked at this and it
seems to require changes to GNUmakefile. If you do this,
    you can close this issue.
    2. Make cvsinstall.sh figure out that it is on a path with
spaces and rename it. This is incredibly evil and wrong,
but what the hell, they are just Mac users. If you do this,
bump this issue back to v0.6.3.
    3. Change the download-macosx.php page to explain that you
have to rename it before running cvsinstall.sh. Then bump
    this issue back to v0.6.3.

what is the current state of that?
if there is no easy fix for that right now, we'll put it into 0.6.3..
