Running the English CD version of Discworld II. Enable the subtitles, this would help in tracing the problem. In the final scene at the bottom of the tower if you right-click on the tower to look at it a conversation immediately starts (brown subtitles appear), however it does not finish and the view is shifted to the top of the tower very shortly and Rincewind makes the appropriate comments. When the view goes back to the bottom of the tower the engine falls into a deadlock mode; it seems it waits for the original conversation to finish which never happens. The mouse cursor does not appear, and the menu/load/save windows don't open either. Running the latest ScummVM version, it happens both on the PC and Android versions.
Save game attached.

I don't know what the expected behaviour is but when i try it, it immediately shows the top of the tower:

    "A-ooooooo--gah!"
    "Sorry, got carried away again."
"I do hope the little fellow's okay up there. I'll rescue him soon."

Then it shifts back to the bottom again, and there's a conversation of sorts:

"Argle! Snap it for a ragman's trumpet! Millennium hand and shrimp!"
"Yes, it is very romantic isn't it."
"Buggrit, front the buscuit for a sneaky trouser, I told 'em!"
    etc.

For me, the "Millennium hand and shrimp!" conversation at the bottom never happens. Some subtitles are displayed before the top of the tower is shown which are probably the subtitles for this conversation (the view changes too fast and I can't read them), and when the view changes to the bottom of the tower nothing happens.

I can not replicate this either with:
    ScummVM 1.4.0git1071-g6092b32-dirty (Jul 15 2011 14:32:17)
and Discworld 2: Missing Presumed ...!? (CD/DOS/English (GB))

patryn: Could you please indicate the exact version you are using?
If this is v1.3.0, then this has known issues with Tinsel (Discworld 1 & 2 engine) and you should upgrade to v1.3.1 and indicate if this fixes the issue for you.
Otherwise, if you can also indicate the exact version of Discworld 2 you are using (md5sums of the datafiles would be useful using a tool such as md5summer) and attach a sceenshot of the Tinsel subtitles settings that you are using.

Sorry guys, it seems you are right. I have many versions of ScummVM installed and it seems I lost track of which one I could reproduce the problem with.
I can confirm that the bug occurs with the 19/06 build, but not the latest (17/07) build. So everything seems to be ok.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

20110619... Yes, according to gitk engines/tinsel that would have been just before the fix was applied to master and branch-1-3 (prior to v1.3.1 release). Was unaware that Discworld 2 was broken as well as Discworld in v1.3.0 (might ask _sev to update the news item), but unsurprising. Closing as Out of Date.
