Its Shahriyar Imanov aka Shehi again, with most recent
Azerbaijani language files. I am attaching updated
version of language files - archive contains both ISO and
UTF versions with our-language-specific letter support. I
will send more updates very soon :) Thanks for your
wonderful job and such a great tool!

Hi, any progress on the translation of the remaining messages?

sorry but i could not find free time working on this cvs stuff
until this morning, and today i found out that copies of
azerbaijani language files inside cvs package are either
changed (all "ə"s are replaced with "e"s), or you have older
versions of language files in them. i suggest you guys put my
latest submission inside upcoming release with new strings
added to them - i will grab the lang files when new release
airs, translate and submit afterwards. at this point, i find this
cvs stuff more complicating - hope u understand.

Yes I understand. I tried your files and am I confused. Both
files contain
$charset = 'utf-8';
$allow_recoding = TRUE;
so which one are you using and how did you convert it to the
other one?
With the utf-8 one, I see many "?" characters. The iso one
looks better, but seems to contains utf-8?
Usually, translators send us only the iso file, and we
generate the utf-8 ourselves.

OMG, I am so sorry... :) I made UTF-9 version myself and it
is working without ANY problems. Please USE it in next
release of PMA. I converted UTF version to ISO, but I guess
last time I forgot to change those two variables at the top -
they are fixed now. I uploaded the latest fixed versions of
both ISO and UTF as a zip. I say again, both lang files are
working correctly - they both were tested on WinXP SP2,
Mozilla and IE6 browsers.
If you have further questions, please ask :)

Ah, and please don't change those ?'s to UTF charset
characters (like ə). I will do that myself on next release.
Thanks...

I merged your files for 2.6.4, thanks. I did not change the
characters. I had to remove
$allow_recoding = TRUE;
in the iso file, please do not put it back, it confuses our
language synchronization script.
2.6.4 release candidate 1 should be out on 2005-08-28.

Cool... Sorry for that $allow_recoding = TRUE; :P I just made
wrong guess without investigation. Please add new strings to
the language files and release latest version with RC1 of
PMA. I will grab a copy and work on them :) Good luck to
you guys with PMA! Your work is quite valuable for us - web
dev community :) Keep up!!!

In my previous message I said "I merged your files for
2.6.4", this means that your new strings are now in the CVS
version, so they will appear in 2.6.4-rc1.
This also means that tomorrow, you can download the CVS
snapshot (you don't need to know how to work with CVS, this
is just a normal kit) from http://www.phpmyadmin.net/cvs and
see exactly how the messages will be in 2.6.4-rc1 (if you do
not post any new update), then start from those files to
send new translations.
