This request was previously submitted but would like
follow-up to determine if anyone is working this issue.

Users request the option to dynamically resize the
Windows desktop after starting with a specific
geometry. This allows for better use of the workspace.

Microsoft's own client doesn't allow this. What makes you
think the Terminal Server allows changing resolution without
    disconnecting?

(BTW, from my own experiment, the Terminal Server is not
impressed by any additional width-height setup packets it
    receives.)

I reacon this would be a very good addition, but I agree
with ikonst and think it is more server based, some oss
patches for ms's rdp would be nice, but I don't think it is
    going to happen.

Microsoft's own client sure as hell allows it. Just resize the client window...

I second kalmi10's comment. The Microsoft Terminal Server client on Windows XP connecting to Windows Server 2003 can be resized, and the resolution of the terminal services session automatically changes to match the dimensions of the terminal services client window.

To me, this is a significant deficit in rdesktop compared to mstsc.
