The class can be used for unziping files from ZIP archive,
which are stored in 'Stored', 'Deflate' or 'BZIP2' format.
The attached ZIP archive includes class, example and
documentation. Last version can also be found on :

I'm just wondering if we could merge it with our existing ZIP
class.

why you want merge it ? your class, based on the zend code
isn't designed for merge in my opinion. a separate use would
be easier. my focus was only to the SQL-query function in
phpMyAdmin where are gzip and text provided but not zip like
it is for the export.
