Joomla db export in ods format produces error

Mysql 5.1.58-community-log
PHP 5.2.17
phpmyadmin 3.4.4

If I try to export a basic joomla database in ODS (open office spreadsheet) format, the file cannot be imported or opened in Open Office.

The error I see in OpenOffice when trying to open it: Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 166,61346(row,col).

however the ODS format works for Wordpress for both import and opening in OO 3.2, and it works for a joomla table
