Hi,
it would be nice to use the Canon Powershot A85 camera
with
gphoto.
I added the following
[begin]
{"Canon:PowerShot A85 (PTP)", 0x04a9, 0x30b9},
[end]
after line 325 in file
libgphoto2-2.1.4/camlibs/ptp2/library.c and recompiled
libgphoto2.
gphoto2 --auto-detect show now:
Model Port
----------------------------------------------------------
Canon PowerShot A85 (PTP) usb:
but i can't connect to the camera.
here's the output from /proc/bus/usb/devices:
T: Bus=05 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 6
Spd=12 MxCh= 0

P: Vendor=04a9 ProdID=30b9 Rev= 0.01

I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 3 Cls=06(still) Sub=01 Prot=01

E: Ad=02(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms

Support for this cam would be nice.
Thanks in advance

However, on your side it is just a permission problem, nothing
more. Add the ids to /etc/hotplug/usb/usbcam.usermap or
similar.
