mdi up arrow no selection

when pressing the up arrow in the mdi box, i get the previous line i entered. but the whole thing selected, so if i start typing it deletes everything. this is annoying when you just want to add something on the end, for example if you forget to add a feed value. preferred behavior: no selection, and place the cursor at the end of the line.

yes, i know ctrl-e moves to the end of the line.
