I have the following configuration:
- Net-SNMP 5.0.7
- Solaris 7
- Net SNMP source was compiled on the solaris 7.
I have 20 machines with solaris 7 and some machines the
daemon snmpd dies with a core file dumped in the
directory that the daemons was started.
The detail is that some machines the daemon is
working fine.
Thanks,
Mauricio

Can you run gdb on it as follows:
gdb snmpd core
...
gdb> where
And submit the output of the where command?
Also, in the future this wasn't a patch so I'm moving it to the
bug database.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.

versions of
net-snmp but the problem still occurring.
Mauricio.

The first output is the host named spos3073 and is running
net-snmp version 5.0.7. This version is the Solaris 7
binary downloaded in net-snmp download page.

snmpd seems to have problems reading /proc/*/psinfo
and confusedly gives up with abort()
please kindly repeat the debug, add the following
(gdb) print errno
(gdb) print procfn
(gdb) print procfd
(gdb) print psinfo
and re-submit the output (just ONE example).

Has this been retested with 5.0.8?
Were all the machines doing the same thing
(test of some kind) when it died?
What were the machines doing when it died?
Also, the reference to solaris 2.9....is that
the machine you are debugging on? What is that
reference for?
