#734 Wrong edit cursor position after Time Signature Change

In the notation editor, after changing the time
signature and inserting 2 notes using the keyboard, the
edit cursor position will be moved all the way back to
the beginning of the song and the first note in the
song will be overwritten by the second note. Instead
the second note should be inserted after to the first one.

What should happen is that the edit cursor should stay
in the position after the note.

Detailed steps to reproduce:
1. Add a track that is at least 2 measure long.
2. Open that track in the notation editor.
3. Add any number of notes.
4. Change the time signature for any measure.
5. Add a note to that measure using either the keyboard
or the mouse.
6. Use that keyboard to add another note to that
measure. Instead of the note being added to the measure
like it should, the edit cursor will be moved to the
beginning of the track and it will overwrite the first
note in the song measure.

Thank you for all the hard work you have put into
Rosegarden.

I look forward to seeing this bug fixed. I'll be happy
to help test out the fix.

If true, this would be intolerable, but I can't reproduce this. You left a lot of room to play with "any number of notes" and "any measure" so I tried three different random scenarios that all involved the underlying series of steps here, and I didn't come up with anything like the reported behavior.

Maybe this is fixed for free, or maybe the behavior you saw is related to the [x] correct duration of following measures checkbox. We've had some much more recent reports of weirdness concerning that thing. I'm still not sure what it's actually for, but it seems that one should probably never un-check the box.

(Sorry we're a few years too late getting around to look at this. It's been at the bottom of the priority bucket for a very long time I'm afraid. And it's actually still staying at the bottom of the priority bucket if we can even prove the behavior still exists.)
