Using LibreCAD for a while and now have a issue where the window size doesn't fit the screen size and the maximise button disappears from the toolbar in 2 seconds after opening the program. selecting the maximise button before it disappears works until you open a drawing and the window size adjusts and back to the same problem. have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. would like to know if this is a software issue or something else. Bug reporting history shows the issue occurred in the past but I couldn't see a solution to fixing the problem.

What is your system and LibreCAD version?

Try dragging a toolbar to a new line

this issue is due to toolbar size is wider than available screen size.

Dragging toolbars into multiple lines can reduce the toolbar sizes.

We need to set the toolbars to fit the available screen by default.

a fix in master branch, commit: 61a4aa67513870ae8f1f1c8fae9531d74d6dd07c

The toolbars should shrink to fit the available window size. However, it still requires user to drag the toolbars into multiple lines in that situation, as the toolbars are required to use some features.

Can we allow the toolbars to be shown in multiple lines in this case?

My best attempt at describing my system:
    AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 3600+ x2, 2GB ram
    Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit
    LibreCAD version: 1.01

With regards to adjusting the window area, the window size is fixed and can no be modified when you grab the corner and try and reduce or enlarge window size.

Can you please explain what "dragging a toolbar to a new line" means as I don't understand.

    Thanks for your help.

The last published version in v1 series is v1.0.2
below the menu line are une line with several toolbars, you can drag "snap toolbar" (p.e.)
a bit downwards until you see a new hollow where place it.
Then you can reduce the window size.

Moved two toolbars down to the second line as suggested and can now resize window at corners and maximise to fit screen. Thanks for your help.

It was the "tools options" toolbar that pushed the window size out if I put "corner" toolbar and "pen selection" toolbar on the first line. If I turn off the "tools option" toolbar all the other toolbars fit on the first line without affecting the window size.
Can you tell me what functions use the "tools options" toolbar just so I know when to turn it on.
    Thanks again for your help.
