This will be done... although I do not want to give for every article the list of authors (not so easy to do).

The full list of authors would be helpful: the Directmedia DVD includes the full history, and if I remember correctly the wanda CD provides a list of authors at the end of page, so you can maybe use their code (but there are many tools, e.g. this one: http://toolserver.org/~escaladix/lauteurs/ and this http://toolserver.org/~tim/cgi-bin/contribution-counter which is a beta).

However, I suggest to adopt the new Wikimedia footer which will be used from the next 15th of June (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Licensing_update):

All text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License. Text may also be available under the GNU Free Documentation License. See ((link to copyright policy)) for further details. See the page history for a list of authors. Media files are available under different licenses; click the file for more information.

This is a copy taken on the <TMPL_VAR NAME="DATE"> from an [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=<TMPL_VAR NAME="TITLE">&oldid=<TMPL_VAR NAME="REVISION"> original article on Wikipedia] (see [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=<TMPL_VAR NAME="TITLE"> current revision]). And for it.wikipedia:

I guess it'll be easier to see what's missing (text) once it's tested to see how it looks, and how it fits with the different articles.
By now is a good "template" :).

Thank you for Ark for your Spanish translation.
Thank you Nemo for you improvments in English and translation in Italian.

All of them are integrated to the trunk:
    http://kiwix.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/kiwix?view=rev&revision=601

... and footers will be consequently present in the next ZIM file releases.

Nemo, if you want to improve again the template in Italian, please send per mail a new version, I will integrate it.

About the list of authors, I have a few questions:
    Is this legally mandatory?
Do you prefer a global list? A list at the end of each article? Both?
    * How essential is this feature for you?

Currently part of the code to do such things is already coded but not really integrated to the rest... so I can do all the stuff... the question is more about the priority.

    Thank you Kelson.

About the list of authors, I have a few questions:
    * Is this legally mandatory?

Well, according to the new terms of use, it won't.
But all the DVDs published so far did have it, so it can be considered a standard (and so required by the license itself, although there's no consensus on this), and I would consider strongly advisable to include it.

    • Do you prefer a global list? A list at the end of each article? Both?

A list at the end of each article, as we have always done.

    • How essential is this feature for you?

Well, on a scale from 1 to 10, if e.g. categories are 8 authors list is 7.

    Thank you again.

New ZIM files include a footer with the license and a link to the original page. It's still not localized, but this will come... IMO this problem is fixed.

    Example:
