Was Feature:90094 on the ISFDB wiki. "I'd like the "New messages" alert to be somehow visible on the ISFDB pages as well as the Wiki. I know this is likely to be difficult, but I just left a message for Rudam regarding a held submission. Rudam has zero contributions over here on the Wiki; not a problem in itself, but if they never come over here, they'll never see the message I've left for them. This is implemented by the commits of 5-Jul-2009. Added functions to test the presence of new talk as indicated by entries for the user's userid in MediaWiki's mw_user_newtalk table. For a logged in user, if no new talk, an ordinary "My Messages" link is displayed in the nav bar; if new talk, a highlighted version of the link plus a trailing "(new)" is displayed.
