Was Feature 90007 on the ISFDB wiki. When a Work is made a variant title of another Work, it keeps its own Series information, which may cause problems.

As per Community Portal discussion at http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/index.php/ISFDB:Community_Portal#Variant_titles_have_their_own_series_field , we need to enhance the Make Variant logic so that it would "move" the Series information (Series ID and number) from the VT to the newly associated parent Title. This may be somewhat harder than it sounds due to "grandchildren" Titles etc.
As of r2009-74, Make Variant moves the series name/number to the parent title if the latter doesn't have these fields valued.
