During the game, after achieving the Bluxtre nut you have to pop it by placing it on the Cross representing the impact position of the meteorite crash.
When you use the nut on the cross the animation is missing and the Bluxtre nut is placed below the cross, and misses the impact later.
It happens everywhere. The Administration Center (illustrative picture: http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/1458/bluxtrenutey7.png\), or at the Big-Wig's Place.
[save file is attached]

Obviously it's critical, since you must crack the nut in order to proceed the game.

Another relative matter: You get the meteorite used as a replacement for the Bluxtre Nut after a meteorite crash left as a meteorite fragment.
I don't know what is the exact part when the meteorite shower actually leaves a fragment to be taken, but the first time I played it didn't happen at all (not after I talked with the virtual trip's owner, Artur something, nor after I talked with the temple's guard, neither after the seventh time I marked the meteorite shower spot at several places). It left a fragment only after I shut down ScummVm and run it again. It didn't help for the Bluxtre nut issue though.

Save Game - Woodruff in front of the Administration Center with a Bluxtre nut.

    1) Don't mess with the priority setting.
    2) Don't expect a meteorite fragment when you place the nut down. Or when the cross is moved. Or when you already had one.
    3) The nut is round and rolls, so of course it's misplaced when it's not fixed with something
    4) The nut rolling animation for the administration center is named differently than the scripts claim, that's a bug with the original game data. I've added a workaround, should work in the SVN repo / the next daily build.

    1) Sorry. I'm new here and didn't know what I was doing. Won't happen again.
    2) I am aware of all these.
The cross is only moved on the first time as far as I know. And obviously you won't have the nut unless you have the fragment before for replacement. (Let's assume I do know the game, shall we?)
    3) You're right (I forgot you can also dip it before the first placing), but as long as the animation is missing the solution remains unknown for new players.
    4) I don't understand those technical terms, but of course there was rolling animation in the original game. I'm not sure about that, but if you left the nut rolled over in the original game and left the screen, when you came back it'd still be there. Now when you leave the screen the nut is gone and you're stuck forever.

Well, the scripts call the play opcodes for "noixroule.vmd", while the actual file is called "noixroul.vmd". That's a bug in the game data files. If the original does show the animation there, it must have fixed it in the executable as well (via a workaround, like I added). Anyway, that's fixed now. :)

About the nut missing after leaving the screen: Okay, that's a bug. I'll re-open this report and change the summary accordingly.

Raising priority. This bug is nice to get fixed before the release.

Okays, a year later and I did some digging:
    1) This also happens in the original
    2) The nut is actually still there, it's just not drawn. When you hover your mouse over it, the item text appears and you can pick it up again

Moving it to the wiki to the other script bugs.
