This was supposedly fixed in PhpMyAdmin 2.11. See bug 1755339.

It says now: (Command: INSERT INTO ... SELECT)
But, it does not warn or confirm that the DB will be deleted.
I accidentally selected rename when I wanted to copy the database. A popup confirmation like that which happens when you drop a database should be implemented for this.

Thanks,
Micah
P.S. I love this app.

Bug 1755339 was about warning the user that the operation will be long, not about that the DB will be deleted.

Can we warn people that the DB will be deleted or at least ask for confirmation?

Fixed in subversion, thanks for reporting.
