Like i said it's always better to check every
possibility there is. ;-)
Playing the game in French now and when Dough needs to
get the Sumo ticket from Dino, he (Dino) refuses to
talk and walks straight into the Sumo arena after Dough
said his first line to him - leaving the player alone
without a ticket and stuck.

Attention !!!: le jeu plante en francais a deux endroits:
- Avec Dough lorsque vous apportez le bon pour un repas
gratuit Dino (pas le vert)
ici dino vous parlera peine et rentrera dans le
batiment sans vous donner le billet pour le match
=> vous serez bloquer
- a la derniere partie (lorsque vous avez terminer
les aventures avec les trois personnages)
ici => Guru mditation
==> pour eviter cela sauvegarde le jeu avant ces passages qui plantent
et recharger en anglais
Which roughly translate to this:
Warning !!!: The game crashes at two positions in french language:
- When Dough approaches Dino to give him the restaurant
free-eating bon to receive the sumo ticket (NOT the
green bill), Dino talks very little and finally walks
away leaving Dough without the ticket and stuck to go
on further in the game.
- In the final part (where one has finished with all
three characters) the game crashes with a
"Guru Meditation" (<- famous Amiga crash message ;-))
==> to cure this the install overrules this passages by
loading in the english version.
Maybe a native french can confirm that?

As this seems a bug in the original scripts, my current suggestion is just avoid playing the French version.
