LumaCite is a browser-based reference manager and online citation toolkit for researchers, students, academic writers, librarians, editors, and research teams. Its cloud library lets users add sources manually, from online search, identifiers, PDFs, or web pages; organize records with folders, labels, and starred items; search by title, author, year, or identifier; edit bibliographic details; identify duplicates or missing metadata; and export selected references. Separate web tools generate citations and bibliographies, extract references from PDFs and text, check and complete citation metadata, reformat citation styles, and convert files such as BibTeX, RIS, EndNote, and CSL JSON. A Chrome extension captures references from research websites, and a Google Docs workflow inserts citations and builds bibliographies while writing. Public citation tools are available without a library account, while cloud library access requires approval-based beta access.
