"Great design tech dev partner!" Posted 2022-04-29
Pros: The design team is outstanding - we continually get compliments on how professional and intuitive our app is - they truly made us look good. The tech dev team is brilliant and solution orientated. All are accessible and willing to help us succeed on their platform. The dev ops platform enabled us to get our start-up off the ground in a scalable way.
Cons: The project took more time than expected and we had to give up on some scoped items in the end.
Overall: We couldn't have built and launched this quality of a solution without pOS. The dev ops platform has enabled us to get our start-up off the ground and able to to scale.

"Modern tech stack in minutes" Edited 2022-04-28
Pros: The power and flexibility of the platform is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a tech stack that allowed us to achieve whatever project we needed to build for our customers, whilst not handling the devops and raw infrastructure. That is all taken care of for us, including all of the security and reliability that we need.
Cons: Knowing all the pieces to the puzzle to achieve your solution. The control you get is amazing, however that comes with responsibility. I wouldn't say it is a con as the freedom allows us to create solutions we couldn't do on other platforms, you just need to do your homework and know how the pieces all fit together.
Overall: Overall it has been great to deal with the pOS team. Their support is great and help us through the questions we have. We look forward to a long and lasting relationship with PlatformOS and wish them all the success as they continue to develop the platform.

"All the power and flexibility without the hassle" Posted 2022-04-21
Pros: The right balance between having control and not having to control everything. We can build pretty much anything but leave the DevOps to the experts. Finding that balance of performance, security, reliability, scalability and flexibility is extremely hard especially at the right price point.
Cons: There is a learning curve but it's 100% expected if you want this level of control and flexibility. They have worked hard to make the onboarding as easy as possible and have won various awards for how they've gone about this. Pricing is usage based and you have to be clear on your own pricing model, again this is expected from a PaaS platform but something to be aware of.
Overall: From the beginning we've been excited about what pOS allows us to achieve without having to have a team handling the DevOps side internally. pOS is perfect for anyone needing more than a closed box SaaS platform but doesn't want to go all-in and handle DevOps directly (e.g. with AWS).

"Flexibility and Performance" Edited 2022-04-20
Pros: For my application, flexibility and performance are the biggest pros of building on PlatformOS. Not needing to manage the infrastructure is also a huge benefit. The documentation is also very easy to use and understand.
Cons: Not necessarily a con, but there is a learning curve.
Overall: Being able to build custom applications while saving money on DevOps is a winning combination. It's also worth mentioning the support is solid, and folks in the community are very helpful.
