SauceNAO is a reverse image search engine that allows users to identify the source of images by uploading or pasting them into the platform. It specializes in anime, manga, and other art-related content, indexing billions of images from various sources, including Pixiv, Danbooru, Nico Nico Seiga, and more. Users can search across multiple databases simultaneously and utilize features like Safe Search and database selection to refine their results. SauceNAO also offers browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox, enabling quick searches directly from the context menu. It was developed by Xamayon and has been operational since October 2008, continually expanding its database and refining its search algorithms to provide accurate and efficient results. Uploaded images are temporarily stored to facilitate the search process and are deleted shortly thereafter to ensure user privacy.
